For the 2nd year in a row, the County has publicly released the complete data source file underlying the Proposed FY24 Current Expense Budget.
This includes more “granular” levels of detail than are shown in the published Budget Book, and includes five years of historical data.
This year, this file was posted as “open data” on the County website (but, unfortunately, has since been removed...see below for link to my saved copy)

The first tab of this workbook contains the complete data set, the second tab contains a "data dictionary", and the remaining tabs contain instructions and a template for PivotTable analysis within Microsoft Excel.
The Anne Arundel County Budget is proposed and transmitted to the County Council each year on or about May 1st of each year.
