Partnering with Play Again Therapy in Morganton, NC, we provide coaching services to families and professionals who work with students who use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) to support communication. Improving communication skills impacts achievement in literacy skills - reading, writing, listening, and talking.

To Speak AAC you have to use AAC. Our years of experience with students who use AAC have taught us that parents are often left behind when it comes to learning how to be an effective communication partner. Brandi Mull

Special Education Teacher

Brandi Mull, has a degree in Special Education (BS) with an Adapted Curriculum K-12 license. She is an AAC Teacher who has worked with children with complex communication needs, disabilities including learning disabilities, emotional/behavioral disorders, intellectual disabilities, autism and other disabilities in the public school setting for over 20 years. In that position she provided coaching to teachers, paraprofessionals, and families on the use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication, adaptations and modifications in order for student to have access, to their education. She completed additional training from UNC's Center for Literacy & Disabilities and attended a PODD Two Day Introductory Workshop with Linda Burkhart. She has a special interest in communication & literacy for students with complex academic needs.

Lisa Antley, MS, CCC SLP

Speech Language Pathologist

Lisa Antley is an ASHA certified speech language pathologist with more than 35 years of experience. Prior to creating AAC Consultants of Morganton with Brandi she was the AAC Coordinator for a local school district. There she specialized in evaluating and providing therapy to students using AAC. She supported students, teachers, and families as they developed their AAC competencies. She also sought out additional training for literacy and communication from UNC's Center for Literacy & Disabilities Studies. She is a member of ASHA's SIG-12 cohort and has attended a PODD Two Day Introductory Workshop with Linda Burkhart. She has a special interest in students with significant cognitive impairments and Autism. Lisa is registered on the Meaningful Speech NLA Trained Clinician registry after completing the Gestalt Language Processing and GLP & AAC courses.
