I started attempting to get my creativity out there when I was around 12 or 13, starting at the roots of the CRONTIKE Series; Speedyverse. I tried to express my creativity through music and making video games, but I didn't know how to do any of those things. So, I searched for ways to learn. For music, I stumbled across Onlinesequencer.net, a free browser-based sequencing DAW that allows you to make music in your browser and share them with friends. As for game development, my parents had gotten me RPG Maker MV, which I still use to this day.
I took most of my inspiration from the works of Toby Fox, Nobuo Uematsu, and Shigesato Itoi. Their music had the ability to make the players feel whatever they wanted them to feel, as I wanted to do as well.
Eventually, I decided to take on writing stories. I had help from teachers in school to give criticism on how to make my stories more enjoyable and easier to read.
Uranian Productions is purely a solo team of just Me and my cousin, Sean Menter. Uranian Productions is for the most part just sticking to CRONTIKE and CRONTIKE-Related Projects.
It all started long ago, probably like 2010-2014. I made a small stupid little picture book called "The Adventures Of Glitter Speedy" (stay with me here-). Soon, it was eventually renamed to Speedyverse, which was a group decision between him and I. And through many iterations, many retries and many rejections... CRONTIKE was formed to the way it is now. Characters renamed, story redone a thousand times, characters thrown away, maps redrawn. We're glad to have the version we have now. Many world building laws were added, removed, and changed. But the laws we have in place now are (hopefully) here to stay!
AAAlex Games is my most prized creation. The mascot, the name, the logo, the color schemes! All of it!
But how did it come to be...? Well, the mascot AAAlex the Battery was original a little doodle I first drew on an Algebra Test in Freshman year of High School. I loved him so much, but didn't know what to name him. So, I took my name and added two extra A's (because he's a triple A battery, obviously). I continued to doodle him on papers and online. He went through lots of small changes, like how many lightning bolts his ponytail had, the height to width ratio, and how I drew his face. But now he has a designated design that is very precise. The ponytail's lightning bolts are orientated in a specific way, his height to width ratio is anywhere between 4:3 and 3:2, and his eyes are little circles, and his mouth is always simple lines.
I've always been interested in making games, so it was an obvious choice to make him the mascot of my small Indie Game Development Group, same with the name. The color scheme of yellow and purple is an interesting choice for sure. Well, purple's my favorite color, and yellow contrasts it perfectly. So, no matter what he's the first thing you'll notice on a semi-busy screen.
The logo was also somewhat genius of me. It's two A's to form a lightning bolt. I mean, anyone can shove two A's together in the shape of a lightning bolt and call it a logo. But, mine somehow fits perfectly. It's hard to believe I made the logo AFTER I made AAAlex. I surprise myself sometimes!
