10 GHZ and Up Contest 2026 AA2SD KE5NJ and N2LQH Summarry of Activity
During the First Part of the Contest We Worked from (3) NJ Beach Shore Locations
Thanks to all that worked us from our 3 stops at the Jersey Shore for Part I. Chris KE5NJ and myself along with Terry N2LQH had a great time working the team on Block Island and others during this short period. The Brigante NJ Bird Observation deck is an ideal location for working 10GHz across the ocean to the North East.
We Enjoyed Excellent Early Morning Conditions From Brigantine NJ to Block Island
From this ideal beach location we were able to work Dale AF1T , Dave K1RZ and Micky W1MKY all on SSB with Q5 copy across the Atlantic point to point at 304 KM. Here is a quick Video Link of KE5NJ's contact to Block Island with .5 watts. N2LQH also made a very nice contact using 1.9 watts and a small horn with W1MKY. We also worked Ray N3RG and Mike WB2RVX from this beach front location. This particular spot is elevated above the beach located on a Bird Viewing tower as a platform.

Sept Contest Part II from Cape May Point and FM 29 Quarry Overlook
Cape May Point FM28MX elevation 7 ft Due to my available time, I worked the September portion of the contest from 2 locations. The first location is at the very tip of Cape May NJ FM28MX, located at the entrance of the Cape May Canal. This spot is located directly across from the Cape May Ferry Terminal. My intent was to work Dale.
Contact from Cape May to Dale AF1T at 458 KM
AF1T contacted AA2SD on Sat. Sept. 19, at 12:32 UTC from FN41ni, CW. W1MKY contacted AA2SD on Sept. 19, at 12:34 from 12:34 CW. This was my longest contact to date on 10 GHz at 458Km.
I had a Clear Path from Cape May to FM08US
I was also able to work with Dave K1RZ and the group from FM08US at 289 KM from the point which was a lot of fun including KF3Y, WA4BRX, N3GW, K3WHC, W2RMA and N9ZL.
Cape May Contact with Dale AF1T from Cape May Point FM28MX at 458 KM
Gibbsboro Pole Hill Park FM29 MT Elevation 190 ft During Sunday I worked at my local watering hole located in Gibbsboro NJ FM29MJ. This spot only plays to the south with a clear shot into MD and lower Souther NJ. I attempted several times to work Roger K3SZ but failed due to foliage blocking my path.
I was able to work Ray N3RG Q5 Copy on SSB, as Ray recently made updates to his 10GHz station and it was a easy contact. The weather was turing with rain storms and I was able to work Don N3MK with rain scatter at my best of 216 KM for the Day. After this very interesting rain scatter contact it was time to pack up due to the weather.
Plans for Sunday August 15th 10 GHz and Up
