This is the American Heart Association's CPR and AED course. This is for those that are not in the healthcare field and just want to know how to save a life if the need arises. Every student leaves with a AHA E-Card, this comes in blended learning and all in person options. Our instructors will make sure each student leaves confident in their skillset and that they will act should the need occur. This class is considered the gold standard in CPR training. First Aid can be added to this course for an additional fee, this first aid course is also by the American Heart Association and will get students comfortable with basic bleeding control, allergic reactions, stroke recognition and more!
This is the American Heart Associations Basic Life Support course. This is for those that are in the healthcare field or planning on joining the healthcare field in the near future. CPR For Teachers
St. Angela Merici School allowed us to come in and teach life saving skills to their teachers. They requested a CPR class for all teachers and then some even opted to do First Aid for further education on how to save a life.
The skills these educators learned in this class will empower them to save a life wherever they go, whether that be students, other staff members or even out in public. They are ready to act when an emergency situation arises and will be able to save lives.
Hands Only CPR for Students
The month of February is American Heart Month, and for St. Angela Merici School that means teaching the students about heart healthy behavior, diet and excercise! We were invited out to teach the 7th and 8th graders Hands Only CPR because we believe that people of all ages should know how to save a life.
In order to properly educate these students on Hands Only CPR we did a presentation on the importance of CPR and how it works as well as proper form and hand placement. Then we split them up into groups and had them practice. At the end, each group picked who they thought their best compressor was and we played a CPR game. The group that won got to name their manikin and that name will be a permanent fixture in our inventory system.
