その一方で、これらを迎撃する側には依然として高価かつ限定的な対空手段が求められており、費用対効果の著しい不均衡が生じている。

これを受け、米国及び韓国政府主導のもと歩兵が携行可能な対無人機次世代兵器の開発計画が始動した。

原因不明の熱暴走による火災を除けば米国の後ろ盾もあり開発は比較的順調に進んだ。

いくつかのプロトタイプを経て、遂に実用可能と判断されたのがHoltzmanだ。

※本装備の名称は、ダラム社に所属していた一人の開発担当者の名に由来する。

外装の大部分にはポリマー素材が採用されており、軽量化に加え感電リスクを最小限に抑えている。

制御回路・航法系・電源系に対し瞬時に影響を与える指向性EMP放射ユニットを搭載している。当ユニットは前方100m以内の扇状範囲に効果を及ぼす。

電力供給には容量300KWのバッテリーを本体下部に装着するというアプローチが取られた。一回の射撃で１００KWを消費するため連続放射可能回数は３回に制限される。

戦地に一度も行ったことのない者はこの装備の重要性を理解できないだろう、だが実際に戦地から生還した分隊は大抵この銃を持っている。

Meanwhile, those attempting to intercept these drones still require expensive and limited anti-aircraft capabilities, creating a significant cost-benefit imbalance.

In response, the US and South Korean governments launched a development program for a next-generation infantry-portable anti-drone weapon.

With the backing of the US, development progressed relatively smoothly, except for a fire caused by unexplained thermal runaway.

After several prototypes, the Holtzman was finally deemed viable.

The majority of the exterior is made of polymer material, reducing weight and minimizing the risk of electric shock.

It is equipped with a directional EMP emission unit that instantly affects control circuits, navigation systems, and power systems. This unit has an effect in a fan-shaped area up to 100 meters in front.

To supply power, a 300kW battery was installed under the gun. Since each shot consumes 100kW, the number of consecutive shots that can be fired is limited to three.
