アキュラスMK1は、世界初の携帯型電磁加速兵器である。

※携帯可能と謳っているものの重量、全長ともに到底単独の歩兵が扱える品物ではなく、補助機材または複数名による傾向が前提となっている。

本兵器の登場は偉大なものであり新たな時代の幕開けと言える。

技術的ブレイクスルーにより発射時のレールの損耗を大幅に改善することに成功した、これにより長期的な使用用途での信頼性が格段に高まり、電磁加速兵器の軍事的利用価値を世に知らしめることになった。

飛翔体は内部の二本の導電レールがもたらすローレンツ力により即座に1,050m/s(マッハ3.1)ものスピードで射出される、これは艦載用固定電磁加速兵器には劣るものの、従来の火器 例:7.62×51mm NATO (800～840m/s)より明確に早く、遠距離戦闘や遮蔽物越しの戦いで有利に立ち回れるのは勿論、ドローン等の高速で動くターゲットに対しても効果的である。

その他、内蔵CPUによって導き出される高精度弾道予測、発射時の衝撃波を低減する音響制御ユニット、戦闘記録等を記録できるUSBポートを3つ有している、なお、本銃にはアイアンサイトは設けられておらず、運用にはCNDTECH製スマートスコープの接続を前提とする。 

総じて本機は攻勢よりも防勢運用に適した兵器と言える。

A technological breakthrough has succeeded in significantly reducing wear on the rails during firing, dramatically increasing reliability for long-term use and demonstrating the military value of electromagnetic acceleration weapons.

The projectile is instantly ejected at a speed of 1,050 m/s (Mach 3.1) due to the Lorentz force generated by the two internal conductive rails. While this is slower than fixed ship-mounted electromagnetic acceleration weapons, it is clearly faster than conventional weapons (e.g., 7.62x51mm NATO (800-840 m/s)). This not only gives it an advantage in long-range combat and combat through cover, but is also effective against fast-moving targets such as drones.

Other features include high-precision ballistic predictions derived from an internal CPU, an acoustic control unit that reduces shock waves when fired, and three USB ports that can record combat records. Furthermore, the gun does not have iron sights, and operation requires the connection of a CNDTECH smart scope.

Overall, this weapon is better suited to defensive rather than offensive operations.
