1. Our Commitment to Privacy

A24 Films App is built to help film lovers discover independent cinema, explore curated movie collections, save favorites to a watchlist, and browse by genre with a simple, focused experience. We designed this app so you can explore films without creating an account, without signing in, and without sharing your personal contact details with us. Protecting your privacy is a core principle of this product.

This app is an independent film browsing experience and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to A24, any film studio, distributor, or streaming service. It does not provide streaming, ticket sales, or guaranteed access to any film.


2. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following from you as an app user:

No sign-up, login, OTP verification, email verification, social login, or registration is ever required to use the app.


3. Information Stored On Your Device

Film catalog data, titles, descriptions, and browsing content included in the app are provided as built-in local data. You can browse the film catalog fully offline after installation.

These are stored locally using Android Room database and DataStore. They are not uploaded to our servers and are not linked to your identity.

We do not build a personal profile, usage account, or identity record about you.


4. Internet and App Content

The film catalog and browsing experience work offline using data stored inside the app. An internet connection is used to load movie poster and backdrop images from public content delivery networks (such as TMDB image servers) and to load advertisements through Google AdMob. Cached images may remain on your device after viewing for faster loading. We do not require an online account to use the app.


5. Sharing Content From Your Device

If you use your device's standard share, screenshot, or screen-recording tools outside this app, that action is handled entirely by your device and operating system. We do not receive copies of shared content unless you explicitly send it to us through a contact channel you choose.


6. Advertising (Google AdMob)

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements inside A24 Films App. AdMob is a third-party advertising service operated by Google LLC.

7. Third-Party Services

This app does not connect to film studios, streaming platforms, or ticket providers to collect your personal information. Movie poster and backdrop images are loaded from third-party image hosting services. The only advertising service integrated into the app is Google AdMob.


8. Cookies and Tracking

The app itself does not use browser cookies. Google AdMob uses SDK-level identifiers for ad delivery, frequency capping, reporting, and fraud prevention. We do not operate our own cross-app tracking or analytics SDK separate from AdMob.


9. Network and Permissions

The app requests:

We do not request access to contacts, photos, camera, calendar, SMS, microphone, biometric authentication, or precise location. There is no sign-in or account permission prompt when you open the app.


10. Data Security

Because we do not collect personal information or account credentials, there is no personal login profile that can be compromised on our servers. Your watchlist, search history, appearance preference, and offline cache remain on your device unless you clear app storage.

You can clear all locally stored data at any time through your device settings.


11. Children's Privacy

This app is intended for general film browsing and entertainment discovery. It does not require personal information from children or adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.


12. Your Choices and Rights

Because we do not collect identifying information about you, there is no personal account or profile to delete on our side. You can fully reset your app data by uninstalling the app or clearing app storage:

Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored watchlist items, search history, preferences, and cached film data.


13. Changes to This Policy

If this policy is updated, the revised version will be available within the app on this screen. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
