My name is Alyssa McPherson.also known as A100Reallionaire.
I am a multifaceted creative force and the driving business engine behind Pretty Dope Xperience – PDX Radio™, an independent platform spotlighting and supporting talented, upcoming Hip Hop and R&B artists.
With a sharp eye for design, a great ear for iconic records, an open mind for strategy, a voice of activism, and a deep love of music and culture, I’ve helped carve out a unique space where independent talents get the recognition they deserve.
A1 - Day One 1985 – Portland, Oregon
Born and raised in a household rooted in music, I’ve been deeply connected to the independent artist struggle since day one. I grew up watching my father—an independent bass musician—tirelessly create and perform without the benefit of industry support. (My first 100+ studio sessions I wore diapers) That upbringing embedded my lifelong understanding of the passion, pressure, and perseverance required to be an artist without the machine backing—along with developing a soft spot for the independent creators grinding for their shot.
Blues Baby
My dad’s deep love for the blues filled our home with the sounds of B.B. King, Muddy Waters, Eric Clapton, and Stevie Ray Vaughan, shaping my early appreciation for authenticity, soul, and storytelling in music. Through family and school, I learned the fundamentals of music and performance early on—playing piano and ensemble in elementary school, and later playing clarinet and three years singing choir in middle school.
As a teen, my musical taste (and c.d. collection!) kept expanding—soaking up the golden era of ’90s and early 2000s Hip Hop and R&B. I learned to sing by emulating my favorite artists like Aaliyah, Mariah Carey, SWV, and TLC, developing an ear for smooth melodies, heartfelt lyrics, and timeless sound.
In 2010, I met my husband—an independent Hip Hop artist and producer from Northern California whose journey echoed my father’s. What began as a personal mission to elevate his music soon evolved into my calling. By 2015 he graduated college, and I immersed myself in learning the ins and outs of the business side of the music industry while also earning certifications in web design, branding, marketing, content strategy, and business law and structure—determined to be fully equipped to help a broader community of independent artists.
Now, as co-leader of Pretty Dope Xperience – PDX Radio, I help shine a spotlight on raw, underrepresented talent. From organizing campaigns like PDX F.A.M. (Featured Artists & Musicians), to creating the PDX Radio Charts, the 50 States of Dope series, and writing the “Work Smarter, Not Harder” playbook, my work is rooted in creativity, strategy, and cultural purpose—with one consistent goal: seeing independent creators win.
While I’m deeply connected to my hometown, my vision stretches far beyond local boundaries—focusing on rebuilding the music industry as it should be. I’ve witnessed Portland’s Hip Hop scene grow from under-recognized to overabundant—thanks to years of dedication from visionary community leaders and creatives. Now, I’m on a mission to make history with Portland at the epicenter of the next major shift in music. I envision a new mode of operation where independent artists set the standard for ownership, innovation, and cultural leadership—a creative economy powered by collaboration, transparency, and direct fan engagement. So, STAY TUNED!
I bring heart, hustle, and a lifetime of hands-on experience to everything I touch, standing as a true advocate for independent music and the people who create it. From building websites and pressing merch to crafting radio programming, securing artist interviews, designing stage sets and studio builds—I do it all, and I do it with intention. My work bridges art and entrepreneurship, driven by the belief that real music moves people, and real people move the culture.
As co-founder and business leader of PDX Radio, I helped revive and rebrand the platform during a time of transition, transforming it from a passion project into a full-fledged digital media hub.
In addition to overseeing day-to-day operations, I’m also an experienced graphic designer, digital marketer, and business consultant, holding certifications in web design, business law, and digital marketing. I discover emerging artists, develop brand strategies, and create digital content that amplifies authentic voices in music.
My story is one of vision, resilience, and innovation—a story about using business as a bridge for creativity, community, and culture. I’m not just building a platform—I’m building an ecosystem. I’m not here to follow industry rules.
I’m here to flip the script.
