BIO

Ed grew up in south-east London playing piano and guitar from the ages of 7 and 10, respectively, while singing for fun with his family or on his own at any given moment. Educated from a young age on the Beatles, Bowie, the Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, and many more, he began writing songs at 12. Despite how awful these early teenage songs were, he learned the rules of conventional songwriting through trial and error and eventually gave up on them in search of more authentic processes. 

The year between school and university was spent solidifying his style that, at first, blended 60s psychedelic rock with 90s alternative rock, with the greatest inspiration coming from Jeff Buckley, and Radiohead.

Studying music in Liverpool, he released his debut album So it Goes, a collection of impromptus named Passages, and the three-track suite Triptych. Then moving to Vienna for a master's degree he set up a band that would record the next album: A Wasps' Nest. 

Now back in London, the upcoming album is in the procses of being mixed and mastered. Once finished, work will begin this summer to write the next album, which is likely to incorporate both the experimental and orchestral pop phases of Scott Walker's career with a continued mood of post-bop and dark folk harmonies. This will hopefully be finished and released in 2027.
