Researcher, AI engineer, Entrepreneur, Amateure Philosopher
I am a researcher interested in the essential role of information processing in this universe. My goal is to understand from the laws of physics why information processing is universally found on this planet. For example, it may be because there are resources for which information processing is essential to utilize. For example, in my paper [1], I propose an extension of the second law of thermodynamics that suggests the indispensability of information processing to take advantage of internal correlations. We are currently investigating whether, conversely, information processing is unnecessary in the absence of internal correlations.
As an entrepreneur specializing in the AI domain, I have been developing creative AI since around 2014, which has been used by many companies, including large corporations. We sold the business in 2013 in order to take on new areas. I am proud to say that this project is the forerunner of today's generative AI.
As an amateur philosopher, I am interested in issues involving subjectivity that seem to me to be outside the realm of science. I am working on a study based on an interpretation of meaning that is naturally induced from the theory discussed in the paper [1].
