Students will be familiar with college career paths and the opportunities that come with that, but the state of Vermont has some career path opportunities to develop the youth and offer them a chance to join the workforce in key sectors of Vermont's economy.
Skill-based trade jobs and work-based learning experiences open the opportunity for quick integration into the work environment for those on a tight budget, while at the same time providing the worker with a learning experience to enrich their knowledge and expertise in the area.
Some of these areas are:
Manufacturing.
Cybersecurity.
Emergency services and similar medical occupations.
Building, Mechanical, or Industrial occupations.
Alternatively, one could always look for open postings on local country stores, bars, coffee shops, fast-food stores, and many other local businesses that might be looking for employees.
