Special Containment Procedures
VIGIL/JLY is usually running around the facility, coming from his safe nature. It is kept locked inside a dog house when something that needs the floor “clear” is happening. It is under guard by Level 1 Personnel, but even then, it's possible to make exceptions. If JLY starts to tickle too much, just use something like a broom or a stick to push them away. If they are on top of any body parts, it's better to call someone else to take it. No other special containment is required.
Description
Identification: Jelly (VIGIL/JLY) [#03043]
Class: Joy Beast
VIGIL/JLY was called as the Jelly from its resemblance to the Jellyfish. It is an orange jelly-like creature with approximately 25-30 cm of height, with two arms and a face, close to human. JLY moves by grabbing on the floor or walls with his jelly body, similar to a snail or a slug. It is also very sticky. JLY was found by an agent on the streets, tickling a civilian. It appeared that JLY had come from the sewer, but it is not certain.
It's a creature of the Joy Beast, from his magical ability to cause tickling when touched with any body parts. Likewise, it is believed that JLY is completely safe to be around, since it's always smiling and the only ability it has is to tickle. Experiments using JLY in other creatures were proven to be right: JLY can tickle, almost, everything and everyone.
Other experiments with JLY had also proven for the creature to have the intelligence close to a child of 6/7 years.
Additional Notes
Log #1: If you think JLY looks weird, perhaps it's because of this. We're not sure yet, but we keep investigating…
Log #2: EXP#2 is not cited in VIGIL/███'s page. This is because it's an aged page with little to no access.
Expeditions
These expeditions were made inside a chamber of some sort. For VIGIL/JLY, we chose a 25 cm² chamber.
EXP #1: A Noob was conducted to stay inside a room with JLY for 30 minutes.
As soon as the Noob got inside the chamber, JLY quickly became happy and started to tickle the Noob. As JLY kept tickling, the laughter got louder and louder, and the Noob started to go crazier and crazier. After the 25-minute mark, JLY was covering the Noob's entire body, except the head. The Noob couldn't handle it anymore and tried to bang his head on the door to get out. At the 30 minutes mark, we tried to get JLY out of the Noob's body, but it was challenging considering he couldn't stop laughing and squirming around.
The Noob was, then, sent to the Health Station. Astonishingly, the Noob came out of the chamber with no harm. In fact, he had cicatrices along his body, that now were completely gone. Also, he had a huge problem with insomnia, that was now, also completely gone.
EXP #2: Expeditions with other creatures.
In this expedition, we tried to test JLY's behave with other creatures. Since this expedition is old, only two VIGILs could be tested: JCB and ███.
The first was JCB. JLY tried to tickle JCB's possessor and the outcome was the Noob being tickled and laughing, but the eyes were wide open, creating an uncanny look. After that, JCB and JLY begun to chat. They had a conversation for about 10 minutes and after that we got JLY out of the chamber with JCB. What they were talking about is still unknown, since JLY cannot communicate decently with humans.
The second one was ███. JLY tried to tickle ███, and again, the outcome was ███ laughing. It was the first time we saw ███ laughing on camera, not only because ██ was extremely shy but also because ██ used to be inside ██s area (or how Agent ██████ used to say: “jail”) all the time. ███ was also a bit more ticklish than the others, we think that is because of how ████ ██ was, and then the tissue of ██s body would be stretched, and hence, more ticklish than humans. ███ was also able to talk with JLY for some time, but as soon as Agent ██████ got in to take ███ out, ██ started to cry and got extremely challenging to get out of the chamber. It was also the first time and only time we saw JLY with a sorrow aspect.
EXP #3: JLY and other animals.
In this expedition, we tried JLY's conduct with animals.
The first one was a dog. JLY started to tickle, and the dog responded by smiling, wagging its tail and raising its ears, since it was something it felt good. Some minutes passed, and the dog did not feel more or less ticklish, neither wanted it to stop, so we thought it was enough.
The second one was a cat. JLY started to tickle, and the cat responded also responded by smiling, purring and softly wagging their tail. It was quite surprising since this cat we worked with was known for being extremely grumpy. After some minutes, we took the cat out of the chamber, and to this day, the cat is pretty energetic and curious.
The third one was an octopus. Peculiarly, this is the only being JLY has ever showed an initial remorse to tickle. After some minutes, JLY tried to tickle the octopus, but no reaction was seen.
The final one was an elephant. This interaction was pretty quick. JLY started to tickle the elephant's foot, and it worked. Worked so well that the elephant did not like it and smashed JLY with its foot. The elephant was taken out of the facility and JLY couldn't move because of the pressure that was on its body. JLY looked like this for 2 weeks before his body could fully recover.
EXP #4: An alive Noob, a sick Noob and a dead Noob got inside JLY's room for 15 minutes.
This expedition was an idea from one of the Health Station's doctors. She suggested we could see how the health of Noobs would alter while interacting with VIGIL/JLY. So, we put a healthy Noob, a Noob with a rare disease and a body of a dead Noob to see how JLY would act.
For the healthy noob, JLY started to tickle the Noob and after 15 minutes it was done. Just like other times, the Noob was healed from some scars and got very happy after this “session”.
For the sick noob, JLY started to tickle the Noob, and it was visible that the Noob was pretty tired. After the 15 there, in this “tickle therapy”, the Noob was sent to the Health Station. And for our surprise, seemingly this Noob had a tumor with no cure or vaccine, but in the time the Noob was there, he healed very much little of the tumor, less than half of a percent. The doctors were amazed and asked to have many more expeditions with sickness and healing.
And finally, for the dead body, JLY didn't have intentions to tickle it, but we told him to do so. After 15 minutes, as a dead body is supposed to be (duh), it was still dead. However, we took it to the Health Station and apparently, in the time it was there, the body had healed all cicatrixes it had through it.
