I study a lot of the Mexican culture and artwork to learn more about my family history which is what influences most of my artwork. Look into Frida Kahlo or Diego Rivera to see some of my favorite artists. Love working with film photography as well as digital, painting and crafting sculptures. One of the events I enjoy participating in each year is Via Colori Chalk Festival.
I enjoy teaching my students the skills I have learned throughout the years and experimenting with new ideas. I run the art club at the school as well, where we venture into the community and within the school to create art murals as a group.
With art, my biggest goal is to help you find a way to think critically and creatively. With everyone having so much change happening this year, I feel that art is such a great outlet for helping work through emotions and relax your mind.
Below are a few examples of my paintings.
