The golf ball is most likely your user account picture. It cannot be removed. However, you should be able to change it, using the steps you described (System Preferences -> Users & Groups). Make sure to click on the big picture in the Password tab instead of clicking on the little picture in the sidebar.

Thank you for replying so quickly. There is no picture in the password tab - only the golf ball on the sidebar. Have had this Mac for 6 weeks and up until yesterday, there was a yellow flower in the space where the golf ball now appears???? This image sits over the top of the photograph which I've chosen for my desktop - and I've no idea how to change it or get rid of it. Hope this makes sense.

They are the best snack every to have in the refrigerator/freezer for a quick grab and go bite. The cinnamon, apples, and cashew butter combined give the most amazing flavor that honestly tastes like dessert!

The spinning activityIndicator, historically known as the beachball, shows you some sort of activity is taking place, like something loading or processing. If something is very intense or time consuming you can see it for a while. If it is going on "too long" something may be stuck.

I hope you and your family enjoy these whole food carrot cake energy balls as much we do. Your reviews and comments help other people find this recipe too, so please leave one if you have time. Plus, I just love reading your feedback.

I did get a few shots of my Apple Balls, cored and sliced apples held together with rubber band and bakers twine. I replaced the core with string cheese. This will keep them fresh, un-browned and party ready for hours.

Remove the core and replace it with string cheese. Reassemble the apple and secure with a rubber band, then tie a ribbon or bakers twine around the rubberband. This will help your apple slices to stay fresh longer, without turning brown.

Flour is a great way to fill a homemade stress ball, but you can also use rice, water beads, or even play dough to fill your balloon. Each ingredient will give a slightly different feeling to the stress ball.

These flour stress balls are such a cute and affordable back to school craft! Just a warning, these tend to pop or break over time if they are played with a lot, so you may want to toss them after a few weeks!

Ready to make this dessert cheese ball? First (1), start with your butter and cream cheese at room temperature. I like to leave them on my kitchen counter for at least 30 minutes before the mix up the ingredients.

After incorporating all the ingredients (except for the topping), place all of the mix on a large sheet of plastic wrap (2) and gently form a ball into the shape of a large grapefruit.

I used such a fantastic apple in this recipe! Have you tried the Envy apple? If not you must! It is a wonderful apple variety that has a great flavor which makes it the ideal apple for fall baking and cooking. Click HERE to find out more!

I know you guys have a love affair with all things apple-y goodness just like I do! From warm Apple Pie Bread to oven baked Apple Pie Roll Ups there is just something so comforting about fresh fall apples.

Apples make the perfect snack, deliciously crunchy and juicy and tart. It seems all fall festivities have some type of apple snack and what could go better with apples than caramel dip? I agree, nothing at all can compare!

To make these apple dippers extra fun (and cute) we used a melon baller to create mini apples. My daughter and I were able to get about 8-10 mini apples from each granny smith apple. After cutting them, a quick dip in lemon water keeps them fresh for hours.

In 1920, a 400 pound Ball made entirely of wrought iron replaced the original. In 1955, the iron Ball was replaced with an aluminum Ball weighing a mere 150 pounds. This aluminum Ball remained unchanged until the 1980s, when red light bulbs and the addition of a green stem converted the Ball into an apple for the "I Love New York" marketing campaign from 1981 until 1988. After seven years, the traditional glowing white Ball with white light bulbs and without the green stem returned to brightly light the sky above Times Square. In 1995, the Ball was upgraded with aluminum skin, rhinestones, strobes, and computer controls, but the aluminum Ball was lowered for the last time in 1998.

The actual notion of a ball "dropping" to signal the passage of time dates back long before New Year's Eve was ever celebrated in Times Square. The first "time-ball" was installed atop England's Royal Observatory at Greenwich in 1833. This ball would drop at one o'clock every afternoon, allowing the captains of nearby ships to precisely set their chronometers (a vital navigational instrument).

Around 150 public time-balls are believed to have been installed around the world after the success at Greenwich, though few survive and still work. The tradition is carried on today in places like the United States Naval Observatory in Washington, DC, where a time-ball descends from a flagpole at noon each day - and of course, once a year in Times Square, where it marks the stroke of midnight not for a few ships' captains, but for over one billion people watching worldwide.

On that occasion, and for almost a century thereafter, Times Square sign maker Artkraft Strauss was responsible for the ball-lowering. In 1914, The New York Times outgrew Times Tower and relocated to 229 West 43rd Street. By then, New Year's Eve in Times Square was already a permanent part of our cultural fabric.

Yum! I def need to try these. I am like you, I was not a fan of any of the recipes I tried, so I ended up making my own 2 years ago! I love the apple/pb comb in yours!

I love a little chocolate in mine, but now I want to try some with out to see how it compares!

These apple oat no-bake bites are a relatively new addition to my ball rotation, but based on the fact my little miss gobbled 5 during the photoshoot alone I think we can safely say they will be a regular.

Thus far I have not attempted these apple oat no-bake bites as nut-free, that will be my next project. I suspect they will work with sunflower seeds. But I have tried them with both peanut butter and almond butter. I make them with peanut butter more often as it is so much cheaper than almond butter. But the almond version was scrummy.

These apple oat no-bake bites (if suggested substitutions are made) are part of my allergy-friendly recipe collection, these recipes are free from the top 8 food allergens: Dairy, wheat, egg, soy, peanut, tree nuts, fish & crustaceans

Could you please tell me how much 250ml of apple is in US cups, and by apple puree, do you mean apple sauce? If cooked apple, could you explain how you cook apple(s), how many and if peeled or unpeeled? I'd really like to make these but unsure about the apple ingredient. Thanks!

For us in New Zealand, a Cup is 250ml, is it the same in the USA? I use one cup. To make my apple puree I peek apples, pop them in a pot with a little water and cook until tender, Then drain remaining water and blitz.

You can make a cheese ball ahead of time and store 1 to 3 days in the fridge. If stored longer than that the flavor will be affected. Pro tip: seal well in plastic wrap for optimal flavor and freshness. Freezing is not recommended due to the texture change when defrosting.

I have such a soft spot for Ritz crackers with cheese balls, so I was immediately intrigued. The more I read about this recipe, the more excited I got for it and I bet the texture of the apples in the cheese ball really takes it up a notch!

I love buying Ontario Apples and supporting local farmers. When I am grocery shopping I always look for the Foodland logo to make sure that I am buying Ontario grown apples. Check out my delicious Apple Meringue Tart made with Ontario Apples!

Apple Pie Energy Balls are not only a delicious and healthy vegan and gluten-free snack made without any added sugar but are also very easy and fast to make. Just add all the ingredients except the apple to a food processor and pulse until very finely chopped.

It makes sense actually. Cheese is very commonly served with jam or chutney. Dates, nuts, and apples are a frequent accompaniment to cheese platters. So, these little Apple Pie Energy Balls made with dates, walnuts, and apples are just absolutely perfect with cheese. Also, much healthier than jam!

Aebleskiver (or Ebelskiver) are puffy Danish pancake balls and a traditional Danish dessert most often served during the Christmas season. Enjoy them year-round as a delicious breakfast treat!

Whether you refer to them as aebleskiver or ebelskiver (same pronunciation, different spelling), the actual word in Danish is bleskiver and it means "apple slices" because traditionally these were made by putting a small slice of apple in the center while cooking them. But from what I've read, the tradition of putting apple slices in the center of aebleskiver has waned in Denmark and that's no longer a common practice.

Even though they are light and fluffy, aebleskiver aren't hollow in the center like you might think. The batter puffs as it cooks in a special aebleskiver pan, and you turn the pancake balls with a knitting needle (the traditional tool used by Danes for turning aebleskiver), chopstick or wooden skewer. 006ab0faaa
