This project was inspired by and dedicated to my friend Elle, who goes to Boston University (pictured left). She and ~180,000 other people have LCA, which obscures peripheral vision, and partially rely on apps for navigational assistance. However, there has not yet been an app that leverages AI for automatic & accurate object detection of waypoints and obstacles paired with appropriate haptic & auditory feedback.
