Ölüdeniz literally means the Dead Sea because its waters are calm even during storms, but it is officially translated Blue Lagoon meaning the obvious.
Olüdeniz's beach is a recognised Blue Flag beach, and its seawater is well-known for its colours of turquoise and aquamarine and it's a pebble beach right there on the shore. The place is renowned for its paragliding possibilities, due to the spectacular panoramic views, consistent weather, and unusual height of Mount Babada, it is touted as one of the best spots in the world to paraglide.
