Welcome to the Listening Comprehension Section.

Listening comprehension is not difficult, but it is regarded as one of the most complex task in the learning of the English language. This is due to the natural fluency that English has and the different types of accents involved when speaking the language as well as "the regional" aspect of it. Even in Mexico, the people from the North have a different accent from the people from the South. I believe the main reason is that we get distracted

Nevertheless, we have to train our brain to catch all the words that we hear so as to form the correct idea that the speaker is trying to convey.

The objective of these lessons will be to help you understand spoken English to get the general idea, and in time, be able to understand all the words that you listened to. These are the types of information we should be able to get from a listening exercise:

FACTUAL - to provide direct answers with the information given.

INFERENTIAL - to deduce answers by using the information given.

SUMMARY - to make a conclusion based on the information given.

Just like in the past, every lesson will have a vocabulary section, a review section, and a questions section.

To improve your listening skills, take a look at the tips that will help you improve.
