In 2016 scientists under the direction of Kathryn McEachern, United States Geological Survey (USGS) researcher set up experimental plots on a restoration site along Soledad Ridge with the goal of restoring the historical plant community. This website was created by STEM Teacher and Researcher (STAR) Fellow Marisol Villarreal to accompany her presentation of the study's results at the 2020 Partners In Science Conference in San Diego, California.
