The Assar Lindbeck Medal for 2025 is awarded to Konrad Burchardi, professor of economics at the Institute for International Economic Studies (IIES), Stockholm University, for his groundbreaking research on economic growth and development. The full motivation for the 2025 award is found here.
The award honors Assar Lindbeck's diverse and groundbreaking contributions to economic research and is presented every two years to a researcher under 45 years of age in Sweden who has made a significant contribution to economic thinking and knowledge.
On November 20, there will be an award ceremony and Konrad Burchardi will present his research.
The prize committee for the Assar Lindbeck Medal for the year 2025 consists of Professor Olof Johansson-Stenman (chairman), University of Gothenburg, Professor Mariassunta Giannetti, Stockholm School of Economics, and Professor Tomas Sjöström, Rutgers University.
