Do I have to be a member of Carcosa to join the Slow Grow?
No. Non-members are welcome!
Do I have to buy a ticket for the Slow Grow?
Yes. There is a separate ticket for each event. Links to the events page to buy tickets are here: Day 1 (2000 pts), Day 2 (3000), Day 3 (4500).
Do my models have to be painted?
Painted models are strongly encouraged, but not required. There will be prizes for best painted armies.
Do I have to start a new army to participate in the Slow Grow?
No.
Where can I find rules for the game?
All rules and army books are available for download for free at https://www.the-ninth-age.com/community/index.php?simple-page/
Are there prizes?
We are planning on providing small prizes for winners of events and best painted competitions.
How should I make army lists?
We recommend making your army lists with https://www.newrecruit.eu/. When we reference "New Recruit Text format" we just mean the output when you click the little page with magnifying glass on the New Recruit app. Not the printer icon, we don't want the version that has all the rules text on it as well.
What armies/units are good? How should I make a strong list?
The balance in T9A is very good. You don't really have to worry too much about your faction/army being bad. With that said, here are some recent tournament lists to give some ideas:
Tournament I
Are there any changes to the rules for playing small points games?
We're not planning to modify the game at all.
