If we do not know what we are doing better than the chimps, we are in serious trouble We are responsible for what the globe is doing... but the globe does not know what is doing.

With the liberalization of information technologies our picture of the world is more than ever shaped by what we like to know than by what we should know.

As Ethan Zucherman noticed: "Oil spills is a white's topic, hook out is a black conversation. We end up in filter bubbles where we see only the people who we already know... This is not how the interneet was supposed to be."

As information technologies go global and unrestricted, we are obtaining a very restricted world view that prevents us from forming a realistic picture of the actions of the global entity.

Most of the conversations regarding news are around fake news. Of course, the question of truth in news is paramount, but it is insufficient. We need fair news. Fairness is to give each their due. If we want to be responsible of the actions of the globe, we need to know what the globe is doing, That information is due to us even if we do not demand it. 

The concept of necessary information to function in society is nothing new, we call it "formal education." But we have been assuming that it should stop before adulthood. Today, that assumption is not anymore valid.

In order for us to be responsible global citizens we need fair information systems that gives us the truth of where we are moving the globe to.
