"What opportunities for growth does a membership with Toastmasters provide? Toastmasters is an environment where people from all walks of life can come and develop their public speaking and leadership skills for a better future in their careers. And personally, for me, the experiences that I have had with Toastmasters through the University Toastmasters of Dallas have been both informative and enjoyable.

I started my Toastmasters journey by attending as a guest at the weekly meetings held by the University Toastmasters of Dallas at the beginning of the Fall 2021 semester. As a person who started out as an introverted and shy individual who feared public speaking, I knew then (around mid-October in 2021) that Toastmasters was a place where I could grow my public speaking skills and overcome my fear of public speaking. 

Over my Toastmasters journey, I have seen myself grow as not only a more nuanced public speaker, but also a servant leader who has stepped up to help our members strive for success in Toastmasters. Serving in the club as a leader is just one of the ways that leaders in Toastmasters get the opportunity to lead members to greater heights. So, having a Toastmasters membership is not just limited to experiences in the club. Still, it also opens many doors to networking and building a group of trusted friends and mentors you can rely on as you progress in your Toastmasters journey.

The one thing I love about Toastmasters is the fact that Toastmasters provides a place for people to learn and grow together since everyone in the club is there to become leaders in their own way. A word of advice for prospective members: The value of Toastmasters is exponentially more valuable in the long run compared to the actual cost of the membership. Take the step to become a part of an organization 'where leaders are made' today, and I guarantee you'll enjoy your time as a member!"

"I came to Toastmasters because of my love for public speaking. I enjoy speaking in front of an audience, sharing my thoughts, and having interactive sessions with them. It thrills me to prepare speeches and deliver them. Toastmasters also has an interesting segment called Table Topics and the word of the day. This is by far my favorite part. I actively participate in this club because of the positive encouragement and the constructive criticism to improve. It builds me up and makes me want to do better. The things I love about this club are the weekly meetings, the proper format, and the lovely group of members. To our prospective members, don't be afraid to be a part of this club. You may feel that you are extremely poor at public speaking or speaking in general, but we are here to hold your hand and help you get better. There is never laughter or negative comments given, there is only encouragement always!"
