About the band
If you are interested in becoming a prospective band member of the 94 RCACS Pipes and Drums band. You came to the right place!
The band practices on Monday evenings from 1900 - 2100hrs at the Optimist Hall from September to June. We carry out duties such as providing musical accompaniment on Wednesday nights, Remembrance parades, Santa Claus parades, and Annual Ceremonial Review, and a bunch more.
No parade is completed without music!

Why you should join
Being in the band gives you lots of perks and advantages
You get to learn an instrument and music from Cadets and Civilian Volunteers who have a lot of experience and knowledge. We will loan equipment and kit for FREE. *Some instruments may require you to purchase your own based on availability*
Being a member can open doors to summer camps, trips, awards, appointments, gigs, and community service to name a few. You can be higher on merit.
You get to stand out amongst your peers by adorning the Scottish kilt, Glengarry, hose, oxfords, and the entire Highland Dress.
You have a sense of pride and purpose within the Squadron. You have an important role to fulfill: to be the musical accompaniment of the squadron.
You get to participate in events and competitions. It is also a fantastic way to meet people by joining a tight-knit group.

For the this training year (2023 - 2024) we are looking to accept new prospective Pipers.
The Snare and Tenor/Bass sections are no longer accepted. However, due to numbers, there may be a few spots open.
We will take anyone with any musical skill, however, having some form of music proficiency is RECOMMENDED as this can be a fast-paced learning environment.
