925five Records is an independent record label offering select artists access to professional digital music distribution through its existing distribution relationship with EMPIRE LRJ DIGITAL Distribution.
Our mission is to provide independent artists with the distribution infrastructure, administrative support, and potential growth opportunities necessary to develop commercially sustainable music careers while maintaining creative independence.
1. Artist-Friendly Royalty Structure — 90/10
925five Records Distribution offers eligible artists a competitive royalty-sharing arrangement:
90% — Artist: The artist receives ninety percent (90%) of eligible net distribution receipts.
10% — 925five Records: The label retains ten percent (10%) as compensation for distribution administration, release coordination, account management, and related services.
$0 Upfront Distribution Fee: No initial payment is required to submit an application or participate in the standard distribution program.
925five Records shall account for artist royalties on a monthly basis. Through EMPIRE ecosystem analytics royalty payments shall become payable once the artist's accumulated, eligible net royalty balance reaches or exceeds two hundred-fifty U.S. dollars ($250.00), following the application of any applicable platform fees, taxes, refunds, chargebacks, and other deductions expressly authorized under the executed Distribution Agreement.
Any unpaid royalty balance below the $250.00 payment threshold shall be carried forward and credited toward subsequent accounting periods until the minimum payment threshold is satisfied. All payments remain subject to the terms and conditions of the executed Distribution Agreement.
For purposes of this arrangement, net distribution receipts generally means revenue actually received and credited to 925five Records from the exploitation of covered recordings, after applicable platform deductions, taxes, refunds, chargebacks, and other expressly authorized deductions.
The precise revenue calculation, payment procedures, accounting periods, and applicable deductions will be governed exclusively by the artist's executed distribution agreement.
925five Records does not acquire ownership of an artist's master recordings solely by providing standard distribution services.
2. Professional LRJ DIGITAL Distribution through EMPIRE
925five Records utilizes its distribution relationship with EMPIRE Distribution to facilitate the commercial release of approved music across participating digital music services worldwide.
Depending on eligibility, technical requirements, and distributor availability, these services may include:
Spotify
Apple Music
YouTube Music
Amazon Music
TIDAL
Deezer
TikTok and other participating social platforms, Additional international streaming and download services
Distribution availability, geographic coverage, release processing, and platform acceptance are subject to the policies and requirements of EMPIRE and the applicable digital service providers.
Important Disclosure: Distribution through 925five Records does not automatically establish a direct contractual relationship between the artist and EMPIRE Distribution, Records and Publishing Inc.. It does not constitute an EMPIRE recording agreement, corporate endorsement, direct A&R representation, or a commitment by EMPIRE LRJ DIGITAL Distribution to provide promotional or financial support.
925five Records operates independently and retains responsibility for managing its relationships with participating artists.
3. Distribution Administration and Artist Support
Subject to eligibility, availability, and applicable agreements, 925five Records may provide:
Digital release submission and administration
Album and single release coordination
Metadata review and delivery assistance
UPC and ISRC administration
Royalty reporting and distribution accounting
Catalog maintenance and release updates
Assistance with eligible YouTube monetization opportunities
Guidance concerning participating digital platforms
Artist development and promotional consultation, when approved
Additional opportunities, including Content ID administration, VEVO services, enhanced marketing support, priority delivery, and specialized rights management, may be offered on a case-by-case basis.
No additional service is guaranteed or included unless expressly identified in the artist's applicable written agreement.
925five Records reserves the right to determine which services are available to each artist based on eligibility, operational capacity, commercial viability, and applicable distributor requirements.
4. Potential Artist advance Up to $50,000
Qualified artists with established commercial performance, verifiable royalty earnings, and commercially viable music catalogs may be considered a potential artist advance of up to $50,000
Potential eligibility factors include:
Documented historical streaming and royalty earnings
Verified ownership or control of applicable recordings
Catalog performance and revenue consistency
Audience development and market engagement
Release history and commercial potential
Financial and contractual due diligence
Approval by the applicable financing provider
Any financing advance is strictly conditional and may require a separate written agreement addressing repayment, recoupment, revenue participation, security interests, applicable fees, and other financial obligations.
Artists considered for financing should generally demonstrate:
An established catalog of commercially released music.
Documented streaming performance and verifiable royalty earnings.
Ownership or sufficient control of the applicable master recordings.
A consistent release history and measurable audience engagement.
The legal ability to enter into a financing agreement.
The standard distribution offer is separate from financing.
Financing is conditional.
An advance may carry repayment or recoupment obligations.
No money is promised merely for applying or signing
A $50,000 advance is not guaranteed. Submission, acceptance into the distribution program, or successful release of music does not create any entitlement to financing. 925five Records reserves the right to determine eligibility for consideration and makes no representation that financing will be approved or made available.
5. Potential Album Marketing Support Credit — Up to $2,500
Selected artists may also be considered for discretionary album rollout or promotional support valued at up to $2,500 credit, subject to program availability and written approval.
Eligible promotional activities may include:
Digital advertising
Social media campaigns
Release marketing coordination
Promotional content
Audience development initiatives
Other approved marketing activities
Any marketing credit may be provided through approved services or direct vendor expenditures rather than payment of cash to the artist. Such support is recoupable, subject to additional conditions, or available for a particular release will be established in a separate written agreement.
Marketing credits are not guaranteed and have no cash redemption value unless expressly authorized in writing.
6. Artist Ownership and Creative Control
925five Records recognizes the importance of independent ownership.
Under the standard distribution arrangement, artists are intended to retain ownership of their original master recordings and maintain creative control, subject to applicable legal obligations and the executed agreement.
Artists grant 925five Records only the rights necessary to perform the agreed distribution and administrative services for the applicable contract term.
Artists must possess or control all rights necessary to commercially exploit submitted recordings, including any required licenses, permissions, sample clearances, and third-party approvals.
925five Records / LRJ DIGITAL may reject, suspend, or remove content that violates intellectual property laws, platform policies, contractual obligations, or the rights of any third party.
Ownership retention does not eliminate the artist's contractual duties or any properly authorized distribution rights during the agreement term.
7. Independent Marketing Responsibilities
925five Records provides distribution infrastructure and related administrative services. The standard distribution arrangement does not include guaranteed advertising expenditures, dedicated public relations representation, playlist placements, radio promotion, or artist management.
Artists are generally responsible for developing and executing their independent marketing strategies unless additional promotional services are expressly agreed upon.
925five Records may evaluate opportunities for enhanced support based on commercial performance, catalog potential, artist professionalism, audience development, and strategic compatibility.
No representation is made that participation will result in a specific number of streams, followers, sales, playlist placements, media appearances, or financial earnings.
In the event an artist receives an advance through 925five Records LRJ DIGITAL Distribution. or an approved financing partner, the advance shall be subject to the recoupment terms established in a separate, mutually executed written agreement.
Upon full recoupment of the agreed advance, together with any other amounts expressly due under the applicable agreement, the artist may request termination of the distribution relationship.
Termination shall be subject to the mutual written consent of both parties and any applicable contractual obligations, including final royalty accounting, outstanding liabilities, and the orderly transfer or removal of distributed recordings.
Full recoupment of an advance shall not, by itself, automatically terminate the distribution agreement unless expressly provided in the parties' executed written agreement.
All rights and obligations concerning ownership, distribution, recoupment, and termination shall be governed by the applicable executed agreements.
8. Selective Artist Acceptance
925five Records LRJ DIGITAL Distribution is a selective distribution program.
We seek independent artists who demonstrate:
Originality and commercial potential
Professional-quality recordings
Consistent release activity
A clear artistic identity
Ownership or appropriate control of their music
Commitment to independent career development
Willingness to comply with professional distribution standards
Submission of an application does not create a business relationship, establish contractual rights, or obligate 925five Records to distribute an applicant's music.
925five Records retains sole discretion, subject to applicable law, to approve or decline applications based on legitimate business, artistic, technical, legal, and operational considerations.
9. Application Review and Submission Authorization
By submitting an application to 925five Records LRJ DIGITAL Distribution, the applicant acknowledges and agrees that:
All information provided is accurate and complete to the best of the applicant's knowledge.
The applicant owns or has secured sufficient rights to submit all recordings, materials, artwork, and associated content for evaluation.
The applicant grants 925five Records a limited, nonexclusive, royalty-free authorization to access, review, internally evaluate, and share submitted materials with relevant distribution or professional service partners solely for purposes of evaluating the application.
The applicant authorizes 925five Records to contact them using the information provided regarding their submission, eligibility, and potential business opportunities related to their application.
Submission does not guarantee acceptance, distribution, promotional support, financing, playlist consideration, or commercial success.
925five Records Distribution may request additional information or documentation before making a decision.
No distribution rights are granted, and no obligation to distribute music arises, unless and until the parties execute a separate written distribution agreement.
925five Records may discontinue consideration of an application at any stage before execution of a definitive agreement, subject to applicable law.
How the Process Works
(a) Submit your music and artist information for review.
(b) If your catalog meets preliminary eligibility criteria, additional documentation may be requested.
(c )Eligible projects may be evaluated for available financing opportunities.
(d) Any approved offer will specify the advance amount, recoupment or repayment terms, applicable fees, and contractual obligations.
10. Final Disclosure and Reservation of Rights
925five Records is an independent business and is not representing itself as EMPIRE's legal agent, or authorized representative for purposes beyond its actual contractual distribution relationship.
Financing and marketing support are not guaranteed. Submission or acceptance into 925five Records' standard distribution program does not establish eligibility for an advance or promotional credit. All offers are subject to availability, eligibility review, applicable third-party approvals, and separate written agreements.
Artist advances may be recoupable from future royalty earnings or subject to other financing obligations. Full terms will be disclosed before an artist accepts an offer.
All distribution, financing, marketing, and ancillary services are subject to availability, artist eligibility, third-party approval where required, and execution of applicable written agreements.
925five Records reserves the right to modify or discontinue its prospective distribution offerings, application requirements, and discretionary programs without prior notice, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Such modifications shall not override rights or obligations established under an existing executed agreement.
In the event of any inconsistency between these promotional descriptions and an executed agreement, the executed agreement shall govern.
