The simple system consists of panels, edge pieces, anchoring plates, and screws.
The four corners of the floor panels have been drilled. The holes fit over pins on the junction plates, and a screw with a countersunk head holds the panel to the plate.
The edge pieces work in the same way. Thus, a junction plate can connect four panels, two panels and two edge pieces, or one panel, two edge pieces and a corner.
The floor base is made of MDF (Medium DensityFibreboard), dimensions 1 x 1 m, thickness 22 mm.
Both sides of the panel are surfaced with a sheet with a floorboard design and a highly resistant protective overlay hot glued to the panel.
The edges of the panels are protected with a PVC edge piece.

Pretty much depends on the number of people you want to accommodate. Tango Argentino is a slowish dance with moderate progression and room coverage, so you can get away with quite a bit less than the "120m per 6 dance pairs" requirement I seem to remember from ballroom dancing tournaments. But a tango argentino-themed restaurant/club will most certainly also want to accommodate milongas and tango waltz. What does "themed" mean? Do you only want enough room for show dancing, or are the patrons themselves permitted to dance?
So I was wondering: is there a minimum size a dance floor has to be to allow for the "dancing in a circle" ronda feeling you get in a milonga? And also: does anyone have rough numbers on how many couples would fit any given dancefloor?
If you dance frequently enough, you have experienced a chaotic dance floor. A chaotic dance floor has no flow, people weave in and out of lanes, and couples enter with no regard for those already on the floor. Accidents and near collisions happen almost everywhere you look. I believe this happens mostly due to the fact that people have not learned proper tango etiquette and floor craft. Lack of floor craft is most obvious at crowded milongas. With small tango communities, this is usually not a problem. But here in the Bay Area where we have many dancers, the lack of tango etiquette can become very apparent. A crowded milonga is the ideal situation to follow the rules of floor craft. However, it is wise to practice good floor craft and etiquette no matter how many people are on the dance floor.
2. Before entering the dance floor, make EYE CONTACT with the approaching leader and only enter when you have received consented acknowledgement (usually a nod or at least eye contact). Followers should never jump onto the dance floor before the leader.
