Overview
The 7th International Ethical Hacking Conference (eHaCON) 2026 is an initiative by the Cyber Security Centre of Excellence Department of Law of the University of Engineering and Management, Kolkata, that focuses on the new challenges and opportunities for the law created by the rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI). AI has significant implications for several broad societal issues, including investor protection, consumer protection, privacy, misinformation, and civil rights. AI is being used in various spectrums of the legal fraternity, such as drafting contracts, briefs, laws, regulations, and court opinions. It can also make enforcement and adjudication more effective.
Although AI is being used so broadly, it still has various scopes of improvement; various frauds, such as financial fraud, synthetic identity, and so on, are being committed using AI, opening up a broad space for researchers to play. Thus, the primary focus of this interdisciplinary conference is to gather all under one roof for overall growth and protection.
