Hello! The CCCC Committee on Computers in Composition (7C) founded this ad-hoc taskforce in 2023 to contribute to the research on artificial intelligence in computers and writing studies, including AI implications for teaching, scholarship, administration, and other professional practices. Leaders of this group are selected by the 7C Chair. Members are volunteers from the field representing various backgrounds and experience.
We meet online twice-monthly to discuss projects and share resources. If you're interested in participating in our meetings, please contact us at 7caitaskforce@gmail.com.
Tell us what you think: We are conducting a survey to understand the needs of computers & writing scholars in terms of AI-related scholarship, teaching, administration, and service. Please visit the Survey page to take our survey. Thanks!
We intend to hold an informal listening session at the 2026 Computers & Writing conference in Charlotte, NC. Please contact us if you would like to learn more about it.
