a To Do plan b
In the early 1980s I began drafting what I'd call my mission statement.
That document (which is rarely but occasionally revised) continues to be useful though I'll often fail to follow its guidance - which only increases its value.
And while my internal -albeit minor- chaos continues to manifest in repetitive foolishness & failures, God does not tell me to abandon my seemingly delusional aim to build that cathedral (or any gardens for my children). Instead, I'm guided to believe that there are some ways through which I could achieve at least a couple of objectives that might prove satisfactory before this life of mine comes to an end.
For example:
Sometimes, just a story can be as equally effective as the façade of some edifice built in stone & glass. And so, the building of such a story could easily be my cathedral.
And, for my family and our friends, I might be able organise a certain amount of memorable fun that could last all the way into 2066.
And other such stuff.
