Included here are copies or transcriptions of documents mainly maintained or issued by the Officers of the 70th including 'Register of Joiners', 'Display Programmes' and 'Squad Lists'...
Copies of Company and 'Old Boys' newsletters are here...
These transcribed entries are from 1932 until recording in the book ceased in 1966. Three 'views' of the entries are provided - one in the original roll number sequence, ie. by joining date, one ordered by surname and another by street name.
The only details present in the Register but not transcribed are the attendance records. The main source of much of this digital archive material, as for many other Company documents, was the Centenary Project of 2008.
The Register can be viewed in three sequences...

Inspection and Display programmes provide a 'window' into the 'life and times' of the 70th over nearly 70 years.
From 1968, the programmes of the '8' years always provided a more comprehensive report from the then Captain. The 1988 programme is notable for some fascinating insights provided by the contributions of five of the six Captains that the 70th had.

An informative booklet was produced in 1958 detailing the first 50 years of the Company's history...
A transcription of the booklet's text is here.
Membership Cards were issued annually to each boy in the company, a practice which appears to have started in 1936 and ceased in 1977.
The Card consisted of a Cover Picture, which was common to all BB Companies, and a 70th specific insert (handbook) which, up to 1966, often included a record of the make up of the Company Squads as well as the Staff...
The Company specific information present in the handbooks decreased over time until by the mid 1960s they contained only personal identification details. But in the mid 1940s much effort went into their production, eg. the Handbook for 1949-50.
