Welcome to 6th Grade math and science with Mrs. Brown! I am so excited to learn, grow, and have fun this year.
About me
Hello! My name is Mrs. Brown and this is my 12th year here at Center Drive School. My first 3 years were spent in the middle school teaching 7th grade english, I taught 6 years in second grade, and made the jump back to the middle school to teach 6th grade math and science.
I was an Orrington Eagle from kindergarten to 8th grade. From there I went to Brewer High School and graduated in 2011. I graduated from Husson in May of 2015 with a concentration in english. I graduated in May of 2023 with my master's in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Maine. I am a huge Red Sox fan, and also a huge Disney fan. I live right here in town with my husband and our beautiful 4 year old daughter Natalie! We also have a Golden Retriever named Charlie. (Get it, Charlie Brown!?)
What you'll need to get started In 6th grade for the 2025-2026 School Year:
one 1.5-2 inch binder for ELA that will stay in Mrs. Pardy’s room.
3-5 subject dividers for your ELA notebook.
1 package of loose, lined paper for your ELA binder
Your own box of pencils (the ticonderoga brand are a favorite for us)
a calculator
a pair of earbuds or headphones
A composition notebook for your math journal
