• 6amLifestyle 4 biggest strength: Four foldable mounts that hold controllers, headsets and even keyboards, with both adhesive and screw mounting options.
• 6amLifestyle 4 biggest trade-off: It organizes your gear but changes nothing about how your audio actually flows.
• Zeroffi 3.5mm biggest strength: A bi-directional 3.5mm selector that switches between two inputs or two outputs with a single press, plus a one-touch mute.
• Zeroffi 3.5mm biggest trade-off: It only works with 3-segment earphones, and it's an audio router, not a storage solution.
• Buy the 6amLifestyle 4 if you want your desk, wall or pegboard to stop looking like a cable and controller pile.
• Buy the Zeroffi 3.5mm if you juggle two audio sources or two outputs and you're tired of unplugging cables.
The 6amLifestyle 4 is a four-pack of foldable wall mounts, and the pitch is simple: get your gear off the desk and onto a surface. Each holder has a 90° adjustable fold, so it works as a controller wall mount, an under-desk mount, or a behind-monitor install, and it folds flat when you're not using it. The kit includes four holders, four adhesive pads, eight screws and eight wall anchors, so you can mix and match mounting styles across a room.
The dual mounting system is the part I find most useful. Adhesive tape handles up to 3.3 lbs (1.5 kg) with no drilling, which suits renters or anyone mounting on a PC case or shelf. Screws with anchors push that to 6.6 lbs (3 kg) when you want something more permanent. Non-slip rubber pads and smooth edges protect your gear from scratches and drops, and the ABS build should hold up to daily grabbing and re-hanging.
Compatibility is broad: Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS5 DualSense, PS4, PS3, Nintendo Switch Pro, GameCube, most third-party controllers, plus headphones, laptops and tablets. Buy it if you're a gamer, streamer or collector with controllers and headsets scattered everywhere. Skip it if your actual problem is audio routing — this product won't touch that. It's a storage and organization tool, full stop.
The Zeroffi 3.5mm is a passive 3.5mm audio switcher box, and it solves a very specific annoyance: unplugging and replugging cables every time you want to move between two sources or two outputs. It's bi-directional. In one direction you feed two inputs in and get one output; in the other you take one input and choose between two outputs. A 1/2 selector handles the choice, and there's a one-touch mute button for when you need instant silence.
At 2.6 x 2.5 x 1.1 inches it disappears on a desk or under a monitor, and because it's passive it doesn't need power. There's an adjustable volume knob, but note the limitation: it only controls the output volume of your speaker and headphone, not your microphone. The mute function is genuinely handy in games and meetings — you can mute your mic while still hearing everyone else.
The compatibility caveat matters. This selector is designed for 3-segment earphones and does not support four-segment headphones — the ones with an inline mic on a single 3.5mm plug. Check your headset's plug before buying. If your setup is two audio sources into one headset, or one source into two outputs, this is the right tool. If you want a place to hang your controller, look elsewhere.
• Best for decluttering a gaming room → 6amLifestyle 4. Four mounts, two mounting methods, foldable when idle.
• Best for switching between two audio sources → Zeroffi 3.5mm. One press replaces a cable swap.
• Best for renters or no-drill setups → 6amLifestyle 4. Adhesive supports up to 3.3 lbs without touching a drill.
• Best for permanent, heavier mounting → 6amLifestyle 4. Screws and anchors raise capacity to 6.6 lbs.
• Best for mic control during games or calls → Zeroffi 3.5mm. The one-touch mute lets you silence your mic while still hearing others.
• Best for a travel bag or small desk → Zeroffi 3.5mm. At 2.6 x 2.5 x 1.1 inches it's pocketable and needs no power.
• Best for multi-device households → 6amLifestyle 4. It's compatible with Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, GameCube and most third-party controllers in one kit.
• Best if you use a headset with an inline mic on one plug → 6amLifestyle 4 (by default). The Zeroffi switch doesn't support four-segment headphones.
In my opinion, most people searching this comparison actually need the 6amLifestyle 4. It's the broader, lower-risk buy: four mounts, two mounting options, and compatibility across nearly every controller brand you'd own. The Zeroffi 3.5mm is excellent at one narrow job — switching audio paths without cable wear — but its 3-segment limitation trips up a lot of modern headsets. If your desk is chaos, buy the 6amLifestyle 4. If your problem is genuinely audio routing and you've confirmed your plugs are 3-segment, the Zeroffi 3.5mm earns its place.
With the Zeroffi 3.5mm you connect two 3.5mm sources and press the 1/2 selector to choose which one feeds your headphones, instead of unplugging cables each time. It's passive, so no power or software is involved. Just confirm your headphones use a 3-segment plug, since four-segment headsets aren't supported.
How to switch headphones left right?
Windows 11 handles output switching in its sound settings; the Zeroffi 3.5mm sits in front of that as a hardware selector for two 3.5mm sources feeding one output. It doesn't install drivers or appear as a Windows device. Use it alongside your OS settings, not instead of them.
The Zeroffi 3.5mm does exactly this in its 1-in-2-out mode: one input from your computer, two outputs to your headphones and speakers, with the 1/2 button choosing which plays. The volume knob adjusts speaker and headphone output only, and it won't control microphone volume. Check the current price on Amazon before you commit.
