Tafl: Ancient Strategy is designed to be played without an account, advertising profile, or analytics profile. The app does not track you and the developer does not collect personal data through the app.
Data stored on your device
Tafl stores game saves, settings, achievements, match records, and progress locally on your device so that the app can provide its features. This information is not sent to the developer.
Your device or Apple services may include this local app data in backups according to your device and iCloud settings. Those services are governed by Apple's policies.
Nearby Match
Nearby Match uses Apple's peer-to-peer connectivity to exchange the information needed to play with a nearby opponent. This can include a randomly generated player alias, match identifiers, board state, moves, match outcomes, rematch requests, and preset messages.
This information is exchanged between participating devices for gameplay. Tafl does not provide free-text chat or public matchmaking, and the developer does not receive or store nearby-match content.
Raven Match and clipboard access
Raven Match creates turn codes that players choose to copy and share outside the app. Tafl reads or writes clipboard content only when you use the relevant copy or paste action. The developer does not receive those codes.
External links
The Learn and History sections may open third-party educational websites. Once you leave Tafl, the destination website's privacy policy applies.
Advertising, analytics, and tracking
Tafl does not contain third-party advertising, behavioral analytics, or cross-app tracking. It does not sell personal data.
Children's privacy
Because the developer does not collect personal data through Tafl, the app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
You can remove locally stored Tafl information by using available reset controls or deleting the app. Deleting the app may not remove information retained in a device backup managed through Apple services.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when Tafl's features or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are made.
