Don't write about your week-long trip to Florida! Instead, write about the 10-minute wait in line to ride your favorite roller coaster at Disney World! Make your reader feel like he is in line with you: sweat dripping down his back, nervous excitement in his stomach as he inches closer to the front of the line. Make your reader believe he hears the screech of the coaster brakes as it races to a stop! Can your reader smell the burnt popcorn from the concession stand next to the ride?
