Beautiful Communities of personal growth, happiness, friendship and peace.
The West Valley City My Hometown Initiative was launched in January 2020 as collaborative effort to unite efforts of West Valley City residents, West Valley City, local churches, businesses, and other organizations to improve lives in our community.
What Do We Do?
Work to upgrade the housing and general appearance of WVC neighborhoods though “Days of Service” projects on select weekends from April - October.
Offer opportunities for families to learn and improve their circumstances at Community Resource Centers that offer free classes year round.
Help create a community where people will want to invest their time, money and efforts.
More specifically, My Hometown works to:
Improve both public and private property in the community.
Elevate Kindergarten through 12th grade educational performance.
Help adults improve their skills, thereby raising incomes.
Make neighborhoods safer.
