Social media is fun but can be very dangerous especially if you don't know how to use it properly.

NEVER put your real name or your email as username because any one can see it.Try using a name that is linked with something you like such as @Dancer78. Also to stay even more safe you can set your account to private so only people you choose can see you posts.

All you need to do is click on the edit profile button, scroll down through the options until you find an option that says privacy settings.Then, click on it and it will take you to a screen with lots of ways to make certain parts of your account private. Next, you need to find the set private account option and simply click on it. Your account should now be private!

Here's a few more tips to stay safe:

1. Don't post videos of yourself that you may not want anyone one to see because even though you can delete someone could screen shot it.

2. Never comment anything rude or upsetting because it is there forever.

3. When setting your account private make sure you have no fans that you don't want to see your Music.lys because they can still access you videos

Snapchat is fun because you can do pretty and funny filters for girls and boys! But for younger children it can be quite a dangerous platform to play on.

3. DO NOT post pictures of your school logo, your house address or even your house!

4. Don't except peoples friend requests who you don't know, only your friends.

5. Post appropriate things because once you post anything the whole world can see it.

6. Only text your friends NEVER someone you don't know. If you do and you say personal information they could hunt you down and find you.

Snapchat is a fun app where you can do funny filters. You can even send them to your friends and family to make them laugh.

Instagram is fine for teens but not fine for younger children. Instagram is not safe for younger children because if you post personal information people might be able to track you down. It is still fine to get the platform but you should still keep personal information even if your a teen.
