Use place value understanding to round decimals to any place
"King" method
Underline the digit in the place value to which you are rounding.
Rounding to the nearest tenth:
18.64
Draw a crown on the digit immediately following the underlined.
If the "King" is 0-4, the underlined digit remains the same. All digits in front of the underlined remained the same. All digits following the underlined become 0.
If the "King" is 5-9, the underlined digit increases by one. All digits in front of the underlined remained the same. All digits following the underlined become 0.
