Commendations are to be awarded to members of the unit for their efforts both in and out of operations. Medals and Ribbons will not be handed out easily, please see the below descriptions for the requirements for each medal. Service medals and Campaign Ribbons will be handled by the Admin Department.
The NATO Service Medal is Awarded for a members time within the unit, initially given as a ribbon for 6 months service and a new star added for each further 6 months
Awarded for the most conspicuous bravery, or some daring or pre-eminent act of valour or self-sacrifice, or extreme devotion to duty in the presence of the enemy
Awarded for acts of the greatest heroism or of the most conspicuous courage in circumstances of extreme danger.
Awarded for gallantry during active operations against the enemy.
Awarded for exemplary gallantry during active operations against the enemy in the air.
Awarded to those who fought in the Pioneer Campaign
Awarded to those who fought in the Reclaimation Campaign
Awarded to those who fought in the New Frontier Campaign
Awarded for Bravery in a Campaign, will be attached to the relevant Campaign Ribbon
Awarded for Bravery in a Campaign whilst acting as a aircraft pilot / crew, will be attached to the relevant Campaign Ribbon
