The conference will commence on Friday (September 13th 2024) in the afternoon. An invited talks will follow suit in the evening. We anticipate the conference concluding on Sunday (September 15th 2024) in the afternoon.
We have decided, following previous years’ success, to enable participants to join the conference online on Zoom. A link will be sent to the participants upon us receiving the conference fee payment.
Conference fees
This year, the amount paid depends on how early the participants sign up for the conference.
The conference fees are paid into Variable Stars and Exoplanet Section’s (VSES) bank account. Transaction information will be sent upon reception of the registration form.
If you need a proof of payment, please let us know through the registration form by stating your affiliation or organization.
The conference fee covers catering for whole conference, Friday’s welcome drink, Saturday’s lunch, and other materials related to the conference.
Registration for the optional social event is handled separately.
NEW: International participants can apply for a refund of their travel costs (transport and accommodation). The granting of funding will be decided by the SOC committee. Please send a brief cover letter and abstract to sphecas@gmail.com.
Conference fee amount:
Early birds: 700 CZK (paid before July 31th 2024)
Late-breaking: 800 CZK (paid before August 31th 2024)
On location: 1000 CZK
Students (up to master’s degree equivalents): 400 CZK
Online participation: 400 CZK (paid before September 10th)
Optional social event fee: 450 CZK
Meals
Catering will be provided at the venue. There is going to be a welcome drink in the Friday evening. On Saturday, lunch is covered, and, in the evening, the social event takes place. Refreshments will be available on Sunday morning. Friday lunch and Sunday lunch will be optional and paid for at your own expense.
