Badges

While SpiralScouts badges and awards are not the main focus of our Circle, they do offer the scouts an opportunity to develop skills and work toward personal goals, which makes them one of our scouts' favorite parts of being a SpiralScout. Badge completion requirements will vary depending on the program level. Badges are grouped by relation to one of the five elements. Some badges can be earned at multiple levels as the scout Spirals Up.

Ages and Program Levels

RainDrop - RainDrops generally range from ages 3 to 5 (usually through Kindergarten)

The RainDrop Vow

I make this vow

like a RainDrop should.

FireFly- FireFlies generally range from ages 6 to 9 (usually through the 3rd grade)

The FireFly Promise

I promise to serve the community,

To honor and respect the Earth,

To be helpful and understanding toward all people,

And always keep love in my heart.

SpiralScout - SpiralScouts generally range from ages 10 to 13 (from 4th through 7th grades, or from 4th grade until the child’s 13th birthday, depending on the Circle)

The SpiralScout Oath:

A SpiralScout shall:

Respect all living things;

be kind and courteous;

be honorable;

be mindful of their words;

seek out knowledge in all forms;

recognize the beauty in all of creation;

offer assistance to others;

value honesty and truth;

honor personal commitments;

and see the good in all things.

PathFinder - PathFinders are generally aged 14 though 18 years

The Pathfinder Pledge

I pledge myself to the RainDrop Vow,

The Firefly Promise and the SpiralScout Oath,

And the fulfillment of all my commitments,

Made to myself and others.

I pledge to serve my siblings as I am able

On our many journeys around the sun together

As I find my way through the world.

Start on time or we might not be able to complete all activities
Listen when Circle Leader is speaking or we can't proceed & may miss hearing something.
Don't leave the meeting area during a meeting.
Follow your level affirmation.
Be gentle with others & respect boundaries.
Practice kindness.
Play fair. Take Turns.
Do our best.
