Driving & Parking Directions

From University of Toledo:

1. Take I-75N to Detroit.

2. Take Exit 54 (Warren Ave.).
   [Note to stay on I-75 through Detroit, you have to make an apparent exit (Exit 51C, I-75N, Flint). When rejoining freeway, stay to the right, then move further right across two lanes of traffic to Exit 54. (This is a bit dicey. Careful!!)]

3. Stay on the freeway access road 0.3 mi, turning left at the first traffic signal (Warren Ave.).

4. Proceed west on Warren Ave for ~0.4 miles.

5. Turn right onto Cass Ave.

6. On your right will be Wayne State Parking Structure 1. Enter structure and park. McGregor Hall (495 Gilmour Mall) is a short walk east on Gilmour Mall.
   
   

Return to University Toledo:

1. Leave the parking structure and turn right (south) onto Cass Ave.

2. After ~0.3 miles, turn right at the traffic signal onto the southbound service drive.

3. Proceed across Warren Ave. to get on I-75S. On freeway, stay to the right so that you remain on I-75 (rather than I-375).

From University of Michigan:

1. Take I-94E to Detroit.

2. Take Exit 215A onto I-75N, stay to the right and in 0.4 miles take Exit 54 (Warren Ave.).

3. Stay on the freeway access road, and at the first traffic light turn left onto Warren Ave.

4. Proceed west on Warren Ave for ~0.4 miles. 

5. Turn right onto Cass Ave.

6. On your right will be Wayne State Parking Structure 1. Enter structure and park. McGregor Hall (495 Gilmour Mall) is a short walk east on Gilmour Mall.
   
   

Return to University of Michigan:

1. Leave the parking structure and turn right (south) onto Cass Ave.

2. At the first traffic light, turn left (east) onto Warren Ave.

3. After ~0.3 miles, turn right onto the southbound service drive and enter I-75S.

4. Stay to the right to follow signs for I-94W.

5. Take I-94W back to Ann Arbor.

From Michigan State University:

1. Take I-96E 84 miles to Detroit.
   [Note that in the northwest Detroit suburbs, I-96E merges together with I-275S for ~6 miles, before splitting off again.]

2. At Exit 190A, merge onto I-94E (towards Port Huron).

3. After ~2.5 mi, take Exit 215A onto I-75N, stay to the right and in 0.4 miles take Exit 54 (Warren Ave.).

4. Stay on the freeway access road and, at the first traffic light, turn left onto Warren Ave.

5. Proceed west on Warren Ave for 0.4 miles. 

6. Turn right onto Cass Ave.

7. On your right will be Wayne State Parking Structure 1. Enter structure and park. McGregor Hall (495 Gilmour Mall) is a short walk east on Gilmour Mall.
   
   

Return to Michigan State University:

1. Leave the parking structure and turn right (south) onto Cass Ave.

2. At the first traffic light, turn left (east) onto Warren Ave.

3. After ~0.3 miles, turn right onto the southbound service drive.

4. Proceed to enter I-75S, then follow signs to I-94W.

5. Take I-94W ~2.5 mi to I-96W and back to East Lansing.

Parking is available at Wayne State Parking Structure 1 Gate 3 (450 W. Palmer Ave, Detroit MI 48202). Enter into the parking garage from Palmer Avenue located across the street from the Law School. An attendant will be at Gate 3, to let you in and then follow the dashed lines on the map to McGregor Memorial Conference Center (495 Gilmour Mall, Detroit MI 48202). Two minute walk and you will see the signs. One of the dashed lines on the map goes thru the breezeway of the Law School.
