The suit alleges that Curtis James Jackson (a.k.a. 50 Cent) lifted some of his lyrics for In Da Club from a 1994 song entitled It's Your Birthday by 2 Live Crew founder and rap entrepreneur Luther Campbell.

Yes this song is pretty pointless. It does show the downfall of music and how MTV is killing music by allowing crap like this to go on. This song pretty much explains what is wrong with rap. All the lyrics are just plain worthless there just degrading to society. Oh and if you want some good dance music don't listen to this crap. Try some techno out. And long live rock.

wait, did you guys actually READ the lyrics???i mean really read them?? doesn't their "content" bother you? or is it just me who finds them impossibly stupid and pointless? How can it be fun to dance to a song with lyrics such as these?"I'm that cat by the bar toasting to the good lifeYou that faggot ass nigga trying to pull me back right?"

The lyrics alone... It's true poetry. He blows Shakespeare out of the water. The symbolism is breathtaking... We are all, in reality, "In Da Club" of life, questioning all around us, reaching, grabbing, thrusting ourselves towards the answers... And 50 Cent brings a new meaning into reach. And for this, we are eternally grateful.

"In da Club" received universal acclaim by music critics. AllMusic described it as "a tailor-made mass-market good-time single".[7] The Source called the song a "guaranteed party starter" with its "blaring horns, funky organs, guitar riffs and sparse hand claps".[8] The BBC also wrote that the song is "a spectacular party anthem" that "highlights 50 Cent's ability to twist his words effortlessly".[9] Entertainment Weekly noted that 50 Cent "boasts unashamedly of his career objectives and newly flush bank account" with lyrics such as "I'm feelin' focus, man, my money on my mind/Got a mil out the deal and I'm still on the grind."[10]

The video ends with the camera zooming out of the club to reveal a two-way mirror with Eminem and Dr. Dre in white lab uniforms, observing 50 Cent and taking notes. Atwell stated that "seeing 50 with Dre and Em having his back is as big a visual statement as it is a musical statement" and the shot was significant because it made clear the club was inside the center and not unrelated performance footage.[28] On January 27, 2003, the video debuted on MTV's Total Request Live at number nine and stayed on the chart for fifty days.[29] It also reached number one on the MuchMusic video charts.[30] At the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards, the video was awarded Best Rap Video and Best New Artist and was nominated for Video of the Year, Best Male Video, and Viewer's Choice.[31] Cameos include: Dr. Dre, Eminem, D12, Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo, The Game (in his first cameo appearance), Bang' Em Smurf, Young Buck, Xzibit and DJ Whoo Kid.

So in afterbirth episode 235 NL was singing the chorus of 50 Cent's arguable opus In Da Club (in a Daily no less, and people think he only can concentrate on the seam) but he couldn't remember how a certain line went. He proceeds to make fun of 50 Cent's "come give me a hug" line being part of his persona as a hard, thug rapper which of course is classic NL.

However I was curious as to what the actual lyrics were for the part of the song because I couldn't remember and I decided to look it up. Lo and behold, the version we hear on the radio has the lyrics:

You can find me in the club, bottle full of bub

Mama, I got what you need if you need to feel the buzz

I'm into having sex, I ain't into making love

So come give me a hug if you into to getting rubbed

When I pull out up front, you see the Benz on dubs

When I roll 20 deep, there's always drama in the club

Nigga heard I fuck with Dre, everybody show me love

When you sell like Eminem you get plenty of groupie love

Look homie, ain't nothin' changed: pros down, G's up

I see Xzibit in the cut, hey man, roll them trees up (roll it!)

If you watch how I move, you'll mistake me for a player or pimp

Been hit with a few shells, but I don't walk with a limp (I'm aight)

In the hood in L.A. they sayin': 50, you hot (huh, uh)

They like me, I want 'em to love me like they love Pac

But holla in New York, fo' sho' they'll tell you I'm loco (yeah!)

And the plan is to put the rap game in a chokehold (huh, uh)

I'm fully focused, man, my money on my mind

Got a mil' out the deal and I'm still on the grind (whoo!)

Now Shorty said she feelin' my style, she feelin' my flow (huh, uh)

Her girlfriend with her, they bi and they ready to go (okay!)

And you should love it way more than you hate it

Oh, you mad? I thought that you'd be happy I made it (whoo!)

I'm that cat by the bar toastin' to the good life

Moved out the hood, now you tryin' to pull me back, right?

When my joint get to pumpin' in the club, it's on

I wink my eye at yo' chick, if she smiles, she gone

If the roof on fire, man, just let it burn

They talkin' about money, homie, I ain't concerned

I'ma tell you what Banks told me

'Cause, go 'head, switch the style up

And if they hate, then let 'em hate, and watch the money pile up

Or we can go upside your head with a bottle of bub'

Come on, they know where we be (whoo!)

LeBron James, with close friends and other celebrities in a luxury suite, was having a blast. With drink in hand and jiving to the music, the LA Lakers superstar got the lyrics on cue. He could very well roll with it should he join a lip-sync competition. 006ab0faaa
