We are always looking for people who are enthusiastic and passionate about improving education in our community. The upcoming generations often do not get the type of guidance they need. We encourage you to join even if we already have someone in the your field as each person offers different perspective and insight.
All mentors providing guidance must have completed high school and college in the US. This allows for your advice to be most applicable to the students as many things are not transferrable between different countries and/or education systems. We are open to discussing exceptions.
The process: After you join the mentors list, we will pair an interested student with you. We will provide them with your e-mail address and it will be their responsibility to initiate and continue conversation via email. You are not obligated to share any personal information or meet in person unless you choose to do so.
Time commitment: This varies depending on the mentor-mentee relationship. Most of the communication will be virtual through email but we may host in-person sessions for the community in the future.
Since this is a pilot project in our community, the information for mentors is subject to change. Please reach out to us if you have any questions or ideas!
