Shower

A normal setting is with the lever pointing straight down.  It makes a strange whistling sound, don't worry this is normal.  If you fiddle about with the lever the noise might get less!

Toilet

Grey Row has a very old septic tank system for shared sewage disposal.  Please avoid flushing wet wipes or any other non-biodegradeable items down the toilet.  Instead, just bag them up and put them in the green bin (for flat 5) near the garden gate.  Otherwise, the system can get blocked affecting numerous flats

Recycling

There are 3 bins in the living room, and one bin for food waste in the kitchen.  If they are not full just leave them

Yellow bin - cardboard.  This goes in the blue bin outside when full.  The outside bins are by the garden at the back

Red bin - non-recyclable waste.  This is goes in the bin with a green lid outside

Green bin - plastics (any), tins and cans

Canvas bag - glass, I take it to Bertha Park school for recycling

Food waste - goes to the bin with a brown lid outside

Cupboards

Feel free to explore and use anything you find.  Plates and glasses are to the left of the sink above the counter, cooking pans to the left of the sink and below the counter, and pantry items above and to the left of the oven.  If you can't find what you are looking for, just rummage around as it will be around somewhere

Garden / Shed

There is a walkway to the left of the flat.  Walk through it and you will a gate with the number 5 on it (every flat has its on little garden).  There is a swing at the end of the garden, the cushions are in the black box next to it.  There is also some other garden furniture, a tumble dryer and a fridge in the big shed at the start of the garden.  It is normally unlocked, there are some keys on the kitchen wall if it is locked
