As I was walking along a waters edge, a cooter turtle came up from among the lilies to sun itself for the day. This turtle showed some personality as it soaked up the sunshine, completely unbothered by the lily stem draped across its back. Curiously watching me as I stopped to capture him.

This squirting shellfish is rare to find; it's usually at the bottom of the ocean floor.  I was fortunate to catch this crab in action squirting water out of its mouth as it pushes back the sand to quickly bury itself back under the sand.

With my camera in hand while on vacation, I spotted this little green anole. The next thing I knew he climbed up on this colorful background which complimented his eyelids beautifully. He stopped and turned at just the right angle to give an interesting and beautiful artistic view. What a pose! I quietly talked to him, hoping he would expand his dewlap-the flap of skin beneath his throat. Within a moment he did just that, revealing a vibrant splash of red against the surrounding greens and aqua blues. The combination of his brilliant colors, his artistic pose, and the splash of red made this a truly special moment to capture.

The raccoon is an interesting animal with its black mask. Caught in the act of fishing, this little bandit was looking to enjoy its lunch time meal. The raccoon's reflection is shown in the ripples in the water.

What a unique opportunity to capture this raccoon on a mid-afternoon, fishing in winter.  This is a split-second capture with placement of the raccoon on the frozen water not hiding behind any reeds.

A split second connection is captured here as I looked into the eyes of this wild inquisitive animal. His split second of curiosity seemed to meet mine, offering a glimpse into the mysterious natural behavior of the majestic fox before he continued along his journey.
