4x4 Evolution Revival Project
Originally, aimed at providing consistent updates, attempts at modernization, and backwards compatibility. It partially succeeded, allow for use of MTM 1/2 content and a number of other features. However in the process it broke many other things, became a buggy unplayable mess with a bunch of unfinished features. A lesson in project management for sure, this project is discontinued.

If someone has a more detailed history let us know! This project seemed to have a similar goal, and similar end. It allowed for much higher detail models/textures, and looked to be more focused on graphics.
