Title: Primary Health Care indicators: short and medium term forecasting model

Abstract: Primary Health Care is considered the main access route to health care and is focused on the needs of people and communities. The importance of primary health care has been increasingly discussed and it is realized that if well sustained and functioning, it is the pillar of all health care, soothing some of the gaps that may exist. In recent years, Primary Health Care has been undergoing a reform that aims to transform it organizationally, allowing greater proximity to communities and better service delivery. In this sense, there has been the implementation of Health Indicators whose goal is for the team of each unit to manage it and improve its less positive points according to the results of the indicators. In order to further assist in the exploration and interpretation of the indicators, this work focused on the short and medium term forecast of the results of the indicators through time series and the development of a shiny tool for use by the health units. Several forecasting models have been explored for each of the indicators individually, and as future work it is intended to forecast the results taking into account the influence of the indicators on each other.

Title: Characterization of the mental health issues in the region of Aveiro

Abstract: In the last decade, mental health disorders increased by 13% and Portugal has the second-highest prevalence of psychiatric diseases in Europe. The present study was carried out to characterize the psychological problems registered between 2009 and August 2022 in the region of Aveiro. In 14 years, almost 1.1 million clinical appointments involving psychological problems were recorded in ACeS Baixo Vouga. The growth rate per year has been diminishing except for the last 2 years, and this change may be due to the high impact of the pandemic period on the Portuguese. Some diseases that increased the most in the last year were Anxiety, Depressive and Compulsive Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress, Hyperkinetic Disorder and Suicide. Several analyses were conducted with variables such as Sex, Age Group, County and Comorbidities (Diabetes, Obesity and Cancer), as well as two RShiny applications were coded to facilitate data visualization.
