You have questions? We have answers.
If we missed yours, please contact us, using the button below.
Do you provide any setup equipment for the booths, such as tables, chairs, or canopies? No, each vendor provides all their own equipment. If you are bringing a canopy/tent, per the Fire Marshall, you MUST have weights for the structure.
How are spaces assigned? Spaces are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Space assignments are made in June. A map and complete instructions will be sent to you at that time. Please contact us at 4thFXBGcraftshow@gmail.com if you have not received your assignment notice at least two weeks before the Show.
Will I be able to have a specific space? If you have a specific location or type of space (e.g. corner or last year’s space) we will do our best to assign such a space for you; however, we cannot guarantee that the type of space you ask for will be available. Space assignments are based upon several factors such as making sure that all the same vendors are not grouped in one spot (e.g., all the vendors selling jewelry).
What are the show hours of operation? The Show hours of operation are: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Set-up may begin no earlier than 6:30 AM. Crafters are requested to move their cars off the street, as soon as they've unpacked, or by 9:30 AM and all vehicles must be off the streets by 9:45 AM.
If you arrive later than 9:30 AM, you will not be able to drive your vehicle to your booth space to unload.
When will the event be held if it rains? This is an outdoor festival and it will go on rain or shine. It is strongly suggested you have a canopy to protect you from the sun, and by order of the Fire Marshall, your canopy must have weights to hold it in place.
Where do I check-in when I arrive? On the day of the Craft Show, traffic will only be permitted into the festival area from the checkpoint at the corner of Sophia and George Streets. You can access the checkpoint by turning onto Sophia Street from either William or George Streets. Do not enter the festival area from any other direction or street. After you have unloaded, you will be directed to the closest parking area to your space.
Why do you ask for the name of direct sales companies? Direct sales vendors, such as Tupperware or MaryKay, etc, are welcome. However, to maintain the character of the festival as a craft fair, we limit the number of direct sales vendors to one per company to keep the focus on individually created items.
Are food and drinks readily available? While the sale of food and drink for immediate consumption is not permitted from the crafter spaces, there are both food and drinks sold by food vendors in a nearby part of the festival. There are also some restaurants open on city streets adjacent to the festival.
Can I pack up and leave early? You may pack up at any time you wish. However, the festival streets are closed to vehicular traffic from 10 AM to 4 PM. No vehicles will be allowed on the three festival streets (Charlotte, Sophia, and Hanover) until after 4 PM. Festival street road closures will go into effect before 4 AM and last until around 6 PM for the safety of the vendors and attendees.
How can a vendor contact me? We can be contacted at 4thFXBGcraftshow@gmail.com.
