Book Students Read for Independent Reading

These were the books that I tried to start off with. The girl in my group seemed to be okay with the book she choose. However, the boy seemed bored. Therefore, I asked them the types of books that they wanted. The girl said she liked the one she was reading. The boy asked me if I could get Sonic books. The students said they had already read Charolettes web and I tried to read The Crossover by Kwame Alexander. Later I decided to read Shiloh,  but usually, there was no time to do guided reading. In my classes, I usually had more time to do independent reading a couple of times. Other than that we usually spend more time on the lesson.

These books and the previous books are the books that I let them choose from on the second day.  After this, I brought their favorite  books over and over again. I asked for feedback if they wanted me to bring other books but they enjoyed the ones they picked. The girl picked Baby Mouse book and the boy choose the Sonic book.
