We meet starting in October and ending in June on the first and third Thursdays of the month. On the first Thursday, we meet in person at the Somerset County Ted Blum 4-H Center located at 310 Milltown Rd, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. On the third Thursday, we meet virtually online.
Our club is for students in grades 6-13. We believe in learning from each other, so members of all ages and experience levels are welcome to collaborate.
Our projects are member-driven! You can work on anything from taking apart and understanding old computers to building and coding your own robots. We also have club equipment that can be loaned out to members in good standing, including a 3D printer. As a club, we maintain the official 4-H Fair App.
No prior experience is necessary! Our club is a laid-back, supportive environment where members help each other learn. The only requirement is a self-driven interest in electronics and software. If you're curious and love to tinker, you'll fit right in.
We are not a class, we're a collaborative community. Our focus is on the entire process of innovation, from brainstorming your own idea to a successful final product. You have the creative freedom to explore projects that genuinely interest you, with peers and leaders ready to help every step of the way.
Members must attend 70% of meetings and visits.
Members must keep a record book for the year.
Members must complete a presentation.
The member and a parent/guardian must complete a shift at the 4-H Fair.
The 4-H Fair is the first week of August every year, and it's our club's chance to show off all of our hard work! We set up a booth to display our projects to the public, and we are responsible for the development and maintenance of the official 4-H Fair App.
